Students of Afaab Digital Schools recently embarked on a remarkable educational excursion to the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta, Ogun State, and it was a truly unforgettable experience! The trip provided our learners with a rare opportunity to explore Nigeria’s rich political history, cultural heritage, and the life and legacy of former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.
From the moment we arrived at the OOPL complex, students were immersed in a journey through time. They visited the presidential museum, archives, and interactive exhibitions that showcased key moments in Nigeria’s democratic development. The guided tour offered valuable insights into leadership, patriotism, and the importance of historical preservation.
In addition to the museum tour, students explored the Wildlife Park, the Youth Development Centre, and the Green Legacy Resort, which made the excursion even more exciting and educational. They had fun while learning, asked intelligent questions, and represented Afaab Digital Schools with discipline and curiosity.
The purpose of the trip was to enrich classroom learning with real-world experiences, and it achieved exactly that. Students returned with broader perspectives, renewed interest in history and leadership, and memories they will cherish for a long time.
